Marine Coating Solutions for
Vessels and Marine Assets
Specialist coating and surface protection for vessels, marine structures, and port infrastructure, with each system chosen against what a surface is exposed to and how the asset is used.
Hull Coating & Anti-Fouling
Coating systems that protect the hull from corrosion and slow the marine growth that drags on fuel efficiency.
Ballast Tank & Internal Tank Coating
Internal lining built for the cycle of seawater exposure, condensation, and corrosion ballast tanks go through.
Vessel & Cargo Hold Coating
Coating matched to what a cargo hold carries, from bulk cargo to chemicals, and how often it is cleaned between loads.
Deck & Superstructure Coating
Protection for deck and superstructure surfaces against constant weather, salt spray, and UV exposure.
Underwater Surface Preparation & Coating
Surface preparation and coating carried out on underwater hull areas, including in-water and dry-dock work.
Marine Maintenance & Refurbishment
Recoating and repair work for vessels and marine structures already in service, scheduled around dry-docking and downtime.
Marine Assets We Coat
The inside of a tank faces a different set of demands than the outside. Depending on what's stored, a lining has to hold up against corrosion, chemical attack, abrasion from moving product, and the risk of the tank wall itself contaminating what it holds. We work with epoxy, vinyl ester, and glass flake lining systems, chosen against the process fluid and service temperature of each tank.
- Cargo vessels, tankers, and bulk carriers
- Offshore support vessels and workboats
- Tugs, barges, and harbor craft
- Ballast tanks and cargo holds
- Hulls, decks, and superstructures
- Port and marine infrastructure, including jetties and berthing structures
Marine Coating Standards and Quality Control
Marine coating work is carried out against the surface preparation and film thickness standards each coating system specifies, with ballast tank coating in particular assessed against IMO Performance Standard for Protective Coatings requirements. Every project includes dry film thickness checks, holiday testing, and adhesion testing, with inspection records kept for handover.

Our marine coating work runs under Innovations Coatings' two specialist brands: GTGC, serving Dubai and the Northern Emirates since 1971, and Posco, serving Abu Dhabi's oil, gas, and energy sector since 1995. Together they operate from dedicated yards at Mafraq, KEZAD, and Ras Al Khor, and hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification alongside ADNOC Approved Vendor status in Abu Dhabi.
That track record carries over to marine work: the same surface preparation discipline, inspection regime, and HSE standards apply whether the asset is a storage tank or a vessel hull.
Certifications
